तस्याद्भुतं तपो दृष्ट्वा तुष्टोऽहं तस्य सुन्दरि । वरं वृणीष्वेति मया स च प्रोक्तो निशाकरः
tasyādbhutaṃ tapo dṛṣṭvā tuṣṭo'haṃ tasya sundari | varaṃ vṛṇīṣveti mayā sa ca prokto niśākaraḥ
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ‘ਵਰ ਮੰਗ,’ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ; ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਕਰ—ਚੰਦਰਮਾ—ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
