पुलस्त्य उवाच । एवमुक्तः स भगवाञ्छंकरेण नृपोत्तम । ततस्तं पूजयामास ब्रह्मा पूर्वं सुभक्तितः
pulastya uvāca | evamuktaḥ sa bhagavāñchaṃkareṇa nṛpottama | tatastaṃ pūjayāmāsa brahmā pūrvaṃ subhaktitaḥ
ਪੁਲਸਤ੍ਯ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਉਂ ਕਹੇ ਜਾਣ ‘ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਭਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ।”
