“ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਤਕ੍ਸ਼ਕ ਨਾਗ ਸਦਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁੰਡਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।” “ਐਸਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ,” ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ; ਅਚੰਭੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖਿੜ ਗਈਆਂ। ਫਿਰ ਕੌਤੁਕ ਵਸ਼ ਮੁੜ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕਿਹਾ।
