केनैषा मामिका धेनुः प्रहारैर्जर्जरीकृता । तापस्यस्तापसाः सर्वे कस्मादेते रुदन्ति च
kenaiṣā māmikā dhenuḥ prahārairjarjarīkṛtā | tāpasyastāpasāḥ sarve kasmādete rudanti ca
“ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਧੇਨੂ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚੂਰ-ਚੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ? ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਪਸਵੀ—ਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਪੁਰਖ—ਕਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ?”
