taṃ gatukāmamāhedamabhinaṃdya janārdanaḥ | kathākathanakāle māṃ smarethāstvaṃ jayāvaham

Translation

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਜਨਾਰਦਨ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਇਸ ਕਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਰਣਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਂ—ਮੈਂ ਜੈ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ।”
