ब्रह्मणस्त्वं सुता देवी तुलानाम्नेति कथ्यते । तुकारो गौरवे नित्यं लकारो लघुनि स्मृतः

Transliteration

brahmaṇastvaṃ sutā devī tulānāmneti kathyate | tukāro gaurave nityaṃ lakāro laghuni smṛtaḥ

Translation

“ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ, ਤੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ‘ਤੁਲਾ’ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ। ‘ਤੁ’ ਅੱਖਰ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੁਤਾ (ਭਾਰ) ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ‘ਲਾ’ ਅੱਖਰ ਲਘੁਤਾ (ਹਲਕਾਪਣ) ਵਜੋਂ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।”
