तमोवृतस्तु यो दद्यात्कृष्णवित्तेन मानवः । तिर्यक्त्वे तत्फलं प्रेत्य समश्राति नराधमः
tamovṛtastu yo dadyātkṛṣṇavittena mānavaḥ | tiryaktve tatphalaṃ pretya samaśrāti narādhamaḥ
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤਮਸ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ‘ਕਾਲੇ’ (ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ) ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਨ ਕਰੇ—ਉਹ ਨੀਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਰਨ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਤਿਰਯਕ-ਜਨਮ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪਸ਼ੂ-ਜਨਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
