तेनापि किल धर्मेण उद्दिश्य किल किंचन । देयं तद्धर्मयुगिति शून्ये शून्यं फलं मतम्

Transliteration

tenāpi kila dharmeṇa uddiśya kila kiṃcana | deyaṃ taddharmayugiti śūnye śūnyaṃ phalaṃ matam

Translation

ਉਸ ਧਰਮਿਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ, ਧਰਮ-ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਚਿਤ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਨ ਕੁਝ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਫਲ ਵੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
