श्रीभगवानुवाच । नैतत्तवोचितं स्कंद रुद्रभक्तो यथा श्रृणु । द्वे तनू गिरिजाभर्तुर्वेदज्ञा मुनयो विदुः
śrībhagavānuvāca | naitattavocitaṃ skaṃda rudrabhakto yathā śrṛṇu | dve tanū girijābharturvedajñā munayo viduḥ
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਹੇ ਸਕੰਦ, ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਉਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸੁਣ, ‘ਰੁਦ੍ਰਭਕਤ’ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ। ਵੇਦ-ਵੇਤਾ ਮੁਨੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗਿਰਿਜਾ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ।
