देव्युवाच । मनसस्त्वं प्रभुः शंभो दत्तं तच्च मया तव । वपुषः पितरावीशौ तौ सम्मानयितुमर्हसि
devyuvāca | manasastvaṃ prabhuḥ śaṃbho dattaṃ tacca mayā tava | vapuṣaḥ pitarāvīśau tau sammānayitumarhasi
ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਹੇ ਸ਼ੰਭੂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈਂ—ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਪੂਜਨੀਯ ਹਨ; ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”
