अध्रुवेण शरीरेण यद्यभीष्टं न साध्यते । पश्चात्स शोच्यते मंदः पतितेऽस्मिञ्छरीरके
adhruveṇa śarīreṇa yadyabhīṣṭaṃ na sādhyate | paścātsa śocyate maṃdaḥ patite'smiñcharīrake
ਇਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਦੇਹ ਨਾਲ ਜੇ ਇੱਛਿਤ ਲਕਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜਦ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
