mahādevaprabhāvena daityānāṃ ghorakarmaṇām | evaṃ yasya prabhāvo hi devadaityeṣu phālguna
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) narrating to the sages (with an in-text address to Phālguna/Arjuna from the embedded narrative)
Listener: Phālguna (Arjuna)
Scene: Mahādeva’s unseen majesty radiates; daityas with fierce weapons appear suddenly calmed and turned away, while the narrative voice addresses Phālguna about Śiva’s power over both camps.
Śiva’s sovereignty is universal—his prabhāva governs gods and demons alike, establishing dharma without effort.
No specific sacred geography is named in this verse.
None; it is a declarative praise of Mahādeva’s power.
