tanme gṛhagatasyādya yathātithyakaro bhavān | tadādiśa yathā'pārapāradaḥ kopi me guruḥ
Indradyumna
Scene: A respectful householder bows to a visiting sage/guest, offering water and a seat; the ‘ocean of saṃsāra’ symbolized behind as waves, while the guru stands as a bridge/boat.
Hospitality and humility open the way to true instruction; liberation is sought through guidance of a realized teacher.
No holy site is named; the verse emphasizes guru-seeking and dharma of hospitality.
Implicitly, atithi-satkāra (honoring a guest) is upheld as dharma, though no detailed rite is described.
