vyasya vedānmahābuddhirnānā śākhā prabhedataḥ | aṣṭādaśapurāṇāni sūtādīnparipāṭhya ca

ਉਸ ਮਹਾਬੁੱਧੀ ਵੇਦਵਿਆਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਖਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਭੇਦਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਿਵਸਥਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ; ਅਤੇ ਸੂਤ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਥਾਵਿਧਿ ਪਾਠ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਚਨ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।
