स्तुत्वा नानाविधैः स्तोत्रैः प्रसन्नं वीक्ष्य शंकरम् । प्रोवाच देवदेवेशं यदि देयो वरो मम
stutvā nānāvidhaiḥ stotraiḥ prasannaṃ vīkṣya śaṃkaram | provāca devadeveśaṃ yadi deyo varo mama
ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਤੋਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ্তুਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵ-ਈਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਵਰ ਦੇਣਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇ…”
