punarārādhya bhūteśaṃ prāpaikāmamarāvatīm | yastvayā dharmarājotra kathitaḥ kraturakṣakaḥ
Dadhīci
Tirtha: Bhūteśa (as a Kāśī Śaiva focus)
Type: temple
Listener: Ṛṣi audience / interlocutor
Scene: Indra (Dharmarāja/Śatakratu as ‘protector of sacrifice’ in this narrative usage) performs renewed worship to Bhūteśa: offering bilva leaves, water, and lamps to a Śiva-liṅga; his lost radiance returns, and Amarāvatī appears in the distance.
Devotion and re-alignment with Śiva (Bhūteśa) restores what is lost; divine grace re-establishes dharmic order and prosperity.
Kāśī’s Śaiva framework—Bhūteśa worship is presented as the means of restoration, resonant with Kāśī’s identity as Śiva’s city.
Ārādhana (propitiatory worship) of Bhūteśa/Śiva as a remedial spiritual act.
