ādau vināyakaṃ pūjya ghṛtapūrānnivedya ca | tatorcayedviśvabhujāmaśokakusumaiḥ śubhaiḥ

ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਨਾਇਕ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਘ੍ਰਿਤਪੂਰ (ਘੀ-ਭਰੇ ਮਿਠਿਆਈ) ਨਿਵੇਦਨ ਕਰੇ। ਫਿਰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ-ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਭੁਜਾ (ਗੌਰੀ) ਦੀ ਅਰਚਨਾ ਕਰੇ।
