त्वं जातवेदसि सदा दह्नात्मशक्तिर्वेधास्त्वया जगदिदं विविधं विदध्यात् । विश्वंभरोपि बिभृयादखिलं भवत्या लक्ष्मि प्रसीद सततं नमतां शरण्ये
tvaṃ jātavedasi sadā dahnātmaśaktirvedhāstvayā jagadidaṃ vividhaṃ vidadhyāt | viśvaṃbharopi bibhṛyādakhilaṃ bhavatyā lakṣmi prasīda satataṃ namatāṃ śaraṇye
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਤਵੇਦ (ਸਰਵਜ੍ਞ ਅਗਨੀ) ਹੈਂ—ਸਦਾ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ। ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਧਾ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ) ਇਹ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਜਗਤ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵੰਭਰ (ਵਿਸ਼ਣੁ) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ, ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਰਹੁ—ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ।
