स्कंद उवाच । उषित्वैवं गृहे विप्रो द्वितीयादाश्रमात्परम् । वलीपलितसंयुक्तस्तृतीयाश्रममाविशेत्
skaṃda uvāca | uṣitvaivaṃ gṛhe vipro dvitīyādāśramātparam | valīpalitasaṃyuktastṛtīyāśramamāviśet
ਸਕੰਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਥ-ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਕੇ, ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੂਜੇ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਏ; ਜਦੋਂ ਝੁਰਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਵਾਲ ਆ ਜਾਣ, ਤਦ ਤੀਜੇ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ—ਵਾਨਪ੍ਰਸਥ—ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇ।
