pāpināṃ yāni pāpāni mahopapadabhāṃjyapi | sulīnadhyānasaṃpanno nāmoccāro harerharet
Skanda (deduced; Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Hari-nāma (as nāma-tīrtha within Kāśī teaching)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee chants ‘Hari’ with rosary, eyes half-closed; dark smoke-like forms symbolizing sins dissolve into light as meditation deepens.
Hari’s Name, especially when supported by absorbed meditation, is declared to be a potent purifier that destroys even grave sins.
The immediate verse emphasizes nāma and dhyāna; the tirtha-glory is contextual to Kāśī in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa framework.
Nāmoccāraṇa (chanting/uttering Hari’s Name) together with steady dhyāna (meditative absorption).
