तादृग्व्यथां च तां वीक्ष्य कृपयाहं परिप्लुतः । प्रतीक्षन्मरणं तस्याः क्षणं तत्रैव संस्थितः

Transliteration

tādṛgvyathāṃ ca tāṃ vīkṣya kṛpayāhaṃ pariplutaḥ | pratīkṣanmaraṇaṃ tasyāḥ kṣaṇaṃ tatraiva saṃsthitaḥ

Translation

ਉਸਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਦਰਦਨਾਕ ਹਾਲਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਦਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਲ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ।
