शुश्राव सत्कथां साध्वीं कैवल्यफल दायिनी । स उवाच द्विजस्तस्यै कथां वैराग्यबृंहिताम्
śuśrāva satkathāṃ sādhvīṃ kaivalyaphala dāyinī | sa uvāca dvijastasyai kathāṃ vairāgyabṛṃhitām
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੈਵਲ੍ਯ—ਪਰਮ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਸਤਗੁਣੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣੀ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੈਰਾਗ੍ਯ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼-ਕਥਾ ਕਹੀ।
