शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
शिरांसि चिच्छिदुश्चैभिर्वीरास्तत्र महो त्सवाः । वीराणामुभयोश्चैव सैन्ययोर्गर्जतो रणे
śirāṃsi cicchiduścaibhirvīrāstatra maho tsavāḥ | vīrāṇāmubhayoścaiva sainyayorgarjato raṇe
ਉਸ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀਰ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਹੋਤਸਵ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੀਰ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਘੋਰ ਗੱਜਣਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ।
