महे नो अद्य सुविताय बोध्युषो महे सौभगाय प्र यन्धि । चित्रं रयिं यशसं धेह्यस्मे देवि मर्तेषु मानुषि श्रवस्युम् ॥
mahé no adyá suvitā́ya bodhy uṣo mahé sáubhagāya prá yandhi | citráṃ rayíṃ yaśásaṃ dhehy asmée devi márteṣu mā́nuṣi śravasyúm ||
ਹੇ ਉਸ਼ਾ, ਅੱਜ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸੁਵਿਤ (ਸੁਗਮ ਗਤੀ/ਸਦਗਤੀ) ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਾਗ; ਮਹਾਨ ਸੌਭਾਗ ਵੱਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੈ ਚਲ। ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ, ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਰਯਿ—ਚਮਕਦਾਰ, ਯਸ਼-ਧਾਰੀ ਧਨ—ਧਰ; ਮਰਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮਾਨੁਸ਼ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰਵਸ੍ਯੁਕ—ਉੱਚੇ ਸ਼੍ਰਵਣ/ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਖੋਜੀ—ਬਣਾ।
