Sukta 3.2
आ रोदसी अपृणदा स्वर्महज्जातं यदेनमपसो अधारयन् । सो अध्वराय परि णीयते कविरत्यो न वाजसातये चनोहितः ॥
ā ródasī apṛṇad ā svàr maháj jātáṃ yád enam apáso ádhārayan | só adhvarā́ya pári nīyate kavír átyo ná vā́ja-sātaye cánaḥ-hitaḥ ||
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਅਗਨੇ ਨੂੰ) ਜਨਮ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਰਮ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ (ਅਪਸಃ) ਨੇ ਥਾਮਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੋਦਸੀ—ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ—ਨੂੰ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ੍ਵਰ (ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਈ ਲੋਕ) ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਕਵੀ (ਦ੍ਰਸ਼ਟਾ) ਯਜ੍ਞ ਲਈ ਪਰਿ-ਨੀਯਤੇ—ਯਜ੍ਞ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਕ੍ਰਮਾ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ (ਵਾਜਸਾਤਿ) ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਜ਼ ਘੋੜਾ; ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਹਿਤ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੈ (ਚਨੋਹਿਤः)।
