Transliteration

kathaṃ hi jīvatā śakyo mayā draṣṭuṃ harīśvaraḥ |

tau vā puruṣaśārdūlau kāryasarvasvaghātinā ||

Translation

ਮੈਂ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਾਨਰ-ਈਸ਼ਵਰ ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਾਂ? ਜਾਂ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼-ਸ਼ਾਰਦੂਲ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ (ਰਾਮ-ਲਕਸ਼ਮਣ) ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਖੜਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ? ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਦਾ ਸਰਬਸਵ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਿਗਾੜ ਬੈਠਾ ਹਾਂ।
