Addressing the assembly of men Rama said "Both Kusa and Lava, even though ascetics, are endowed with the attributes of royalty. Eventhough they are singers, they are ascetics. This is even conducive to my well-being. Listen to the meaningful story with concentration".
True teaching uplifts: when satya is delivered skillfully, it benefits the whole person—mind and heart—encouraging receptivity to dharma.
The narrator describes how the recitation affected the gathered audience—pleasing and deeply moving.
The virtue is collective receptivity—listeners embody śraddhā (trustful attention), enabling the teaching to transform them.
