अहो गीतस्य माधुर्यं श्लोकानां च विशेषत:।चिरनिर्वृत्तमप्येतत्प्रत्यक्षमिव दर्शितम्।।1.4.17।।

aho gītasya mādhuryaṃ ślokānāṃ ca viśeṣataḥ | ciranirvṛttam apy etat pratyakṣam iva darśitam || 1.4.17 ||

“ਅਹੋ! ਇਸ ਗੀਤ ਦੀ ਮਾਧੁਰਤਾ—ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਲੋਕ! ਚਿਰ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ,” ਸ਼੍ਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ।
