भरतस्य मातृसदनगमनं कैकेय्या दारुणवृत्तान्तकथनं च
Bharata in Kaikeyi’s apartments: revelation of Daśaratha’s death and Rāma’s exile
स रुदित्वा चिरं कालं भूमौ विपरिवृत्य च।जननीं प्रत्युवाचेदं शोकैर्बहुभिरावृतः।।2.72.26।।
sa ruditvā ciraṃ kālaṃ bhūmau viparivṛtya ca | jananīṃ pratyuvācedaṃ śokair bahubhir āvṛtaḥ || 2.72.26 ||
ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਰੋ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੋਟਪੋਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸ਼ੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਭਰਤ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਨਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਿਆ।
