दशरथस्य शोकानुचिन्तनं शब्धवेधि-दोषस्मरणं च
Daśaratha’s grief, karmic reflection, and the remembered ‘śabdavedhī’ misdeed
एवं निष्फलमारब्धं केवलानर्थसंहितम्।न कश्चित्साधु मन्येत यथैव गुरुतल्पगम्।।2.63.32।।
evaṃ niṣphalam ārabdhaṃ kevalānartha-saṃhitam |
na kaścit sādhu manyeta yathaiva gurutalpagam || 2.63.32 ||
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਫਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਬੇਹੇਤੂ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਅਨਰਥ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਕਰਮ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ-ਤਲਪ-ਗਮਨ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
'Whoever it is, he has committed only a mischievous and senseless act. This sin like a disciple sleeping on the bed of his preceptor none will approve of.
Actions that are purposelessly harmful are adharma; righteous society condemns them as it condemns major transgressions (mahāpātaka-like sins).
The victim morally indicts the shooter’s act as senseless harm, comparing it to a universally condemned grave offense.
Moral discernment and adherence to dharmic standards—he articulates communal ethical judgment of wrongdoing.
