अयोध्यावासिजनानुरागः
The People and Brahmins Follow Rama toward Exile
या प्रीतिर्बहुमानश्च मय्ययोध्यानिवासिनाम्।मत्प्रियार्थं विशेषेण भरते सा निवेश्यताम्।।।।
yā prītir bahumānaś ca mayy ayodhyā-nivāsinām |
mat-priyārthaṃ viśeṣeṇa bharate sā niveśyatām ||
“ਅਯੋਧਿਆ ਵਾਸਿਓ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ—ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ—ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿਓ।”
Looking at the people with love as if they were his own children and as thoughdrinking them with his glances, Rama appealed to them:
