rāmeṇa yadi te pāpe kiñcit kṛtam aśobhanam | apakāraḥ ka iha te vaidehyā darśito ’dhame ||
ਹੇ ਪਾਪਣੀ, ਜੇ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਅਸ਼ੋਭਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੱਸ; ਹੇ ਅਧਮੇ, ਇੱਥੇ ਵੈਦੇਹੀ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਅਪਕਾਰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ?
O sinful woman! O wretch! Rama might have done something unbecoming to you, but what offence has Sita committed?
