अनसूयोपदेशः तथा सीताया स्वयंवरकथा
Anasuya’s Counsel and Sita’s Swayamvara Narrative
तस्यास्तद् वचनं श्रूत्वा विस्मिता मन्दविस्मया।
कृतमित्यब्रवीत् सीता तपोबलसमन्विताम्।।2.118.16।।
tasyās tad vacanaṃ śrutvā vismitā mandavismayā |
kṛtam ity abravīt sītā tapobalasamanvitām ||2.118.16||
ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਅਚੰਭੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਦ ਹਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀਤਾ ਨੇ ਤਪੋਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਅਨਸੂਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।”
On hearing her words Sita was surprised. With a gentle smile she said, to Anasuya who was endowed with ascetic power, 'I think you have already granted me theboons'.
