तवार्थे नित्यसंयुक्तः स्नेहेन वरवर्णिनि । सुकलोवाच । बाल्यं नास्त्यपि जीवस्य तारुण्यं नास्ति जीविते
tavārthe nityasaṃyuktaḥ snehena varavarṇini | sukalovāca | bālyaṃ nāstyapi jīvasya tāruṇyaṃ nāsti jīvite
ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਵਰਣ ਵਾਲੀਏ, ਸਨੇਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸੁਕਲਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਲਪਨ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਵਾਨੀ ਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
