Secondary Rasa: shringara
Sandhi Resolution Notes: हविषान्वितम् = हविषा + अन्वितम्; कुर्यात्ततः = कुर्यात् + ततः
It prescribes making a saṅkalpa (solemn ritual resolve) and offering havis (oblations) to Keśava first, and only then taking one’s own meal.
Keśava is a name of Viṣṇu; invoking him frames the act as a Vaishnava offering, emphasizing that the ritual and the subsequent enjoyment of food are to be oriented toward Viṣṇu.
The verse implies a dharmic ideal of shared participation—after dedicating the act to God, one should eat in a spirit of community and familial inclusion rather than solitary indulgence.
