एतदेव व्रतं राज्ञो यत्प्रजापालनं चरेत् । न व्रतं किंचिदस्त्यन्यन्नृपस्य द्विजसत्तमाः ॥ ५१ ॥
etadeva vrataṃ rājño yatprajāpālanaṃ caret | na vrataṃ kiṃcidastyanyannṛpasya dvijasattamāḥ || 51 ||
ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਇਕ ਵ੍ਰਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕਰੇ। ਹੇ ਦ੍ਵਿਜ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠੋ! ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵ੍ਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ।
