FAQs

This verse is not about pralaya; it teaches ritual consecration (abhiṣeka) and worship using Vedic mantras, emphasizing purity and proper offerings.

It frames dharmic duty as performing Veda-backed worship, honoring Brahmins, and giving charitable gifts (cloth and cows), which are key householder/royal obligations in Purāṇic ethics.

Ritually, it specifies abhiṣeka with consecration jars (kumbhas), Vedic recitation (Ṛg–Yajus–Sāma), and purity markers like white garlands and unguents—standard preliminaries for formal worship and consecration rites.
