Adhyaya 26 — Madālasa Names Alarka and Reorients Him Toward Kshatriya Duty
करोषि किमिदं मूढे ! ममाभावाय सन्ततेः ।
दुष्टावबोधदानेन यथापूर्वं सुतेषु मे ॥
karoṣi kim idaṃ mūḍhe! mamābhāvāya santateḥ / duṣṭāvabodha-dānena yathāpūrvaṃ suteṣu me //
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ, ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ—ਮੇਰੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਉਚ੍ਛੇਦ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੂਟਿਲ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਉਲਟਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ!
