Adhyaya 60: Self-Assertion, Daiva, and the Rhetoric of Inevitability (उद्योग पर्व)
भयानकानि विषये व्यालादीनि न सन्ति मे । मन्त्रगुप्तानि भूतानि न हिंसन्ति भयंकरा:
bhayānakāni viṣaye vyālādīni na santi me | mantragoptāni bhūtāni na hiṃsanti bhayaṃkarāḥ ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਪ ਆਦਿ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਵਿਆਲ-ਜੰਤੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਭੂਤ ਆਦਿ ਹੋਣ ਵੀ, ਤਾਂ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨੇ ਤੇ ਰੋਕੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦੇ।
