हिया ज्ञानेन तपसा दमेन शौर्येणाथो धर्मगुप्त्या धनेन । अन्यायवृत्ति: कुरुपाण्डवेया- नध्यातिष्ठेद् धार्तराष्ट्रो दुरात्मा
hrīyā jñānena tapasā damena śauryeṇātho dharmaguptyā dhanena | anyāyavṛttiḥ kurupāṇḍaveyān adhyātiṣṭhed dhārtarāṣṭro durātmā ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਅਧਰਮ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ-ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਕੁਰੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਅਨਿਆਇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲਾਜ-ਸ਼ਰਮ, ਸੱਚਾ ਗਿਆਨ, ਤਪੱਸਿਆ, ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਅ-ਸੰਯਮ, ਸ਼ੌਰਯ, ਧਰਮ-ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਯੋਗ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇ। ਅਨਿਆਇ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ; ਸਦਗੁਣ ਹੀ ਦਿਲ ਜਿੱਤਦੇ ਹਨ।
