Impermanence, Svabhāva, and Śuka’s Resolve for Yoga
याज़्ञवल्क्य उवाच कृत्स्नधारिणमेव त्वां मन्ये गन्धर्वसत्तम । जिज्ञाससे च मां राजंस्तन्निबोध यथाश्रुतम्
yājñavalkya uvāca | kṛtsnadhāriṇam eva tvāṃ manye gandharvasattama | jijñāsase ca māṃ rājan tan nibodha yathāśrutam ||
ਯਾਜ्ञਵਲਕ੍ਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਹੇ ਗੰਧਰਵ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਬੋਧ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤਾਂ ਵੀ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਤ ਜਾਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੁਣ— ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਓਹੋ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
