अनीकं ये विभिन्‍न्दन्ति भिन्न संस्थापयन्ति च । समानाशनपानास्ते कार्या: द्विगुणवेतना:

Transliteration

anīkaṃ ye vibhinndanti bhinnaṃ saṃsthāpayanti ca | samānāśanapānās te kāryā dvi-guṇa-vetanāḥ ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੋ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਵ੍ਯੂਹ-ਰਚਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਿੱਤਰ-ਬਿੱਛਤਰ ਫੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ, ਐਸੇ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਦੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਗੁਣਾ ਵੇਤਨ ਦੇਵੇ।
