इत्येतद्‌ वचन श्र॒ुत्वा जानानाहं बलं तव | प्रसादये त्वां दुर्धष जीवतामभिमन्युज:

iti etad vacanaṁ śrutvā jānānāhaṁ balaṁ tava | prasādaye tvāṁ durdharṣa jīvatām abhimanyujaḥ ||

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— “ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਅਦਮ੍ਯ ਵੀਰ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ—ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਨਾਲ ਅਭਿਮਨ੍ਯੂ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੀਵਤ ਰਹੇ।”
