वंशानुवर्णनम् — सात्वतवंशः, स्यमन्तक-प्रसङ्गः, कृष्णावतारः, शिवप्रसादः (पाशुपतयोगः)

उष्यता वायुभक्षेण पुत्रार्थं पूजितो हरः चारुदेष्णः सुचारुश् च चारुवेषो यशोधरः
Transliteration
uṣyatā vāyubhakṣeṇa putrārthaṃ pūjito haraḥ cārudeṣṇaḥ sucāruś ca cāruveṣo yaśodharaḥ
Translation
ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਹਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਹਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਤਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਹਰ (ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਚਾਰੁਦੇਸ਼ਣ, ਸੁਚਾਰੁ, ਚਾਰੁਵੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਯਸ਼ੋਧਰ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਏ।
