Sukta 87
प्रेन्द्रस्य वोचं प्रथमा कृतानि प्र नूतना मघवा या चकार । यदेददेवीरसहिष्ट माया अथाभवत् केवलः सोमो अस्य
préन्द्रasya vocaṃ prathamā́ kṛtā́ni prá nū́tanā maghávā yā́ cakā́ra | yád éd ád vīrasahiṣṭh māyā́ áthābhavat kévalaḥ sómo asya
Forth will I speak Indra’s earliest deeds, and forth the later which the Bounteous wrought: when then, O best helper of heroes, by thy wondrous craft, thereafter the Soma became his alone.
ਮੈਂ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਕਰਤੱਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਕਰਤੱਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਦਾਨਵੀਰ (ਮਘਵਾ) ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਤਦ, ਹੇ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਇਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ, ਤੇਰੀ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਮਾਇਆ-ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਨਾਲ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੋਮ (ਸੋਮਰਸ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
