वनस्पते स्तीर्णमा सीद बर्हिरग्निष्टोभैः संमितो देवताभिः । त्वष्ट्रेव रूपं सुकृतं स्वधित्यैना एहाः परि पात्रे ददृश्राम्

IAST Transliteration

vánaspate stīrṇám ā́ sīdá barhír agniṣṭóbhaiḥ sáṃmito devátābhiḥ | tváṣṭrevá rūpáṃ sukṛtáṃ svádhityai enā́ ehā́ḥ pári pā́tre dadṛśrām

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

O Lord of the Wood, sit down upon the strewn Barhis, duly measured with Agniṣṭobha-chants, with the Gods. Like Tvaṣṭṛ, a form well-fashioned for the axe’s right working—these here have we set in order about the vessel, made manifest to sight.

Translation

ਹੇ ਵਨਸਪਤਿ-ਪਤੇ! ਵਿਛਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਬਰ੍ਹਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠ; ਅਗਨਿਸ਼ਟੋਭ ਛੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ, ਇਹ ਯਥਾ-ਮਾਪ ਸੰਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੈ। ਤ੍ਵਸ਼ਟ੍ਰ ਵਾਂਗ—ਕੁਹਾੜੀ (ਸ੍ਵਧਿਤਿ) ਦੇ ਠੀਕ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਘੜਿਆ ਰੂਪ—ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ, ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
