चेतनाचेतनिकं रात्रिदोषमशंसतो नागरिकस्य दोषानुरूपो दण्डः प्रमादस्थाने च ॥ कZ_०२.३६.४२ ॥
Transliteration
cetanācetanikaṃ rātridoṣam aśaṃsato nāgarikasya doṣānurūpo daṇḍaḥ pramādasthāne ca.
Translation
ਰਾਤ ਦਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ—ਚਾਹੇ ਜਾਣਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ (ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ) ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਅਣਜਾਣੇ/ਹਾਦਸਾਤਮਕ—ਜੇ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ) ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇ; ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ-ਪਛਾਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਦ-ਸਥਾਨਾਂ (ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ) ਲਈ ਵੀ।
