ऋतुर् उवाच नराधिपो ऽत्र कतमः कतमश्चेतरो जनः कथ्यतां मे द्विजश्रेष्ठ त्वमभिज्ञो द्विजोत्तम

ṛtur uvāca narādhipo 'tra katamaḥ katamaścetaro janaḥ kathyatāṃ me dvijaśreṣṭha tvamabhijño dvijottama

਋ਤੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ— ਇੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ (ਸਧਾਰਣ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਹੇ ਦਵਿਜ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ; ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੋ, ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੋਤਮ।
