FAQs

It imparts Ayurvedic anatomical enumeration—counting and locating bones in regions such as the back (45), neck, collar-bone region (jatrukā), and jaw (hanu).

By presenting systematic anatomical data (bone counts and regional anatomy), it shows the Purana functioning as a compendium that preserves medical-technical knowledge alongside theology and ritual.

Accurate knowledge of the body supports disciplined living and informed healing; in Purāṇic framing, such vidyā is part of dharmic learning that aids purity, right conduct, and service to beings.
