It teaches the practical result of undertaking the Haviṣyantī observance—purification from sin and a therapeutic effect described as destruction of disease and strengthening of kāyāgni (digestive/metabolic fire).
It links ritual discipline (vrata/regulated havis-based diet) with an Ayurvedic physiological principle (kāyāgni), showing how the Agni Purana integrates dharma, ritual practice, and health science in a single instructional framework.
The verse frames the observance as a means of sarva-pāpa-kṣaya (removal of all sin), presenting bodily well-being as accompanying karmic purification gained through disciplined religious practice.
